How the process works after booking.
You will receive an email conformation of your booking, please check the details are correct, though very rare, times and dates can easily be entered onto our system incorrectly.
If these details are not correct, please call Avacab to have them amended.
Avacab will not be responsible for any difficulties the ensue from incorrect information not amended at this time.
If your return journey departs on one date but lands back on the following day, please ensure that you have booked the correct return date with Avacab.
Please ensure Avacab have the mobile number you will have with you on your arrival. This is essential for the efficient collection when you return.
On the outbound journey you will be collected at the address supplied at the time of booking and taken to the relevant airport. Please inform your driver what terminal you require dropping off at.
If you are using car seats, please label them with your name and date of your return journey and flight number, they will be stored at the avacab depot. When we come to collect you, the driver will bring your car seats with him. Sometimes due to reason beyond our control there may be an extra waiting time for this service.
We endeavor to send the same driver that dropped you to collect you, but this is not always possible. Please do not arrange a different collection point other than the official pick-up area/car park
Guidelines for collection from the airport:
On your inward journey, once you have reclaimed all your baggage & cleared customs, contact 01772 424242 we will connect you to your driver, who will be parked approximately 5 minutes away from the airport.
Once this contact his made the driver will come onto the collection car park. At this point the driver starts to incur parking charges, the initial period is covered in the price you have paid.
The driver will arrange to collect you at the arrivals car park at the appropriate terminal.
If you contact us prior to completing baggage collection & clearing Customs and the driver incurs extra car parking charges, it will be your responsibility to pay.
IE you are stopped by customs, missing baggage etc.
Drivers will not come into the airport to find you, he must stay with his vehicle. Once you have made contact the driver will direct you to where he is waiting. The collection car parks at most airports are adjacent to arrivals.
Under normal circumstances your taxi will be at the airport between 30 to 40 minutes after the confirmed landing time. If you are not on this flight and you have not informed Avacab in sufficient time your payment will be used to pay the driver that has come to collect you, and you will be asked to pay again for the return journey when you finally arrive.
If your flight is delayed we will still endeavor to be with you between 30 to 40 minutes after landing but this may not always be possible as we will have other bookings that may clash with your new pick up time.
On some occasions the arrival information issued by the airport/airline is incorrect. Under this situation your payment will be used to pay the driver that has come to collect you, and you will be asked to pay again for you return journey. You could claim for the extra cost through your airline or travel insurance.
Sometimes, due to circumstance beyond our control, your taxi may not be waiting for you. At this point you must contact avacab control for advice as to when you will be collected. Avacab will not re imburse any customers who make other arrangements.
Please be aware that the legal status of our drivers, is self-employed, they are not employees of Avacab Limited.
Customers should always book their journey via our App, Website, or Telephone.
Avacab do operate a large number of hackney vehicles which can be ’hailed’ within the south Ribble borough boundaries.
You must order a suitable size vehicle for the number of passengers and luggage, Avacab will offer advice but will not be responsible if the luggage presented exceeds the capacity of the vehicle ordered. If a larger vehicle is required any extra costs must be paid by the customer.
Please note that a child, no matter what age, counts as one passenger.
Avacab do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free. Use of the services provided by Avacab, is done so, entirely at one’s own risk and discretion. Avacab do not guarantee the availability of a taxi at any time, or the availability of the service.
Avacab will use all reasonable endeavours to pick-up and drop-off customers to their destination on time, but will not be liable for any loss, due to delays, beyond the company’s control. Under no circumstances will Avacab be liable for any loss of profits, business, or indirect consequential loss.
Bookings to connect with onward transport IE trains Planes etc. The timings of these booking are the responsibility of the customer. Avacab Limited will not be responsible for any costs arsing from missed connections regardless of the circumstances.
The Company and driver reserve the right to decline any booking/s, or request payment for taxi services up front. The company may request any passenger/s to leave the vehicle, if it is deemed his/her conduct is incompatible with the safety of the driver.
It is a Criminal Offence to get into a taxi and not have payment available for the journey taken. Failure to pay will result in the Police being called and your personal details submitted to them.
You will be responsible for the behaviour of all passengers in the vehicle, during the journey. In the unlikely event of the vehicle being soiled by passenger/s, you will be charged accordingly, the charges arelisted in south ribble borough council bylaws. Any damage caused to the interior/exterior of Avacab vehicles, by passengers, will be charged accordingly.
Eating, drinking and smoking in the cars is not permitted.
Avacab will not carry more passengers than their insurance, or licensing permits.
All luggage and personal belongings are carried entirely at your risk. Avacab will not be responsible for loss, or damage caused to any items, whilst in the vehicle.
Property left in taxis will be handed into our control centre and logged into a lost property file. If a customer asks for this property to be returned a charge equalling the meter fare from Avacab base to the destination will be charged. Items can be collected from avacab base at no charge. Avacab will not be responsible for any items left in a taxi.
All children travelling during the journey should be restrained in a manner appropriate to their age, weight and height. UK law states that taxis are exempt from legislation, relating to children travelling in a baby/child seat, or booster.
Avacab are unable to provide any form of child seat. It is the child’s parent/carer’s responsibility to provide/fit and secure the child in the vehicle. The driver is not responsible for storing child seats, on return journeys (please note that the installation of the child seat must be carried out by the customer/passenger).

Avacab are entitled to cancel all services and provide refunds in the event of a declared national emergency, riot, war, fuel shortage, extreme weather, terrorist attack, or other circumstances beyond their control. If in the event of a car breakdown/issue during your journey, Avacab will endeavour to arrange an alternative car to complete the journey, as soon as practicable.
If you have a problem, or complaint, it is essential that you inform the driver immediately. If you wish to make a formal complaint, please notify our office by email no later than 7 working days after your journey. Please send an email to manager@avacab.net.
Avacab reserves the right to amend, change, delete, or add to these terms and conditions, without notice, whenever it deems necessary.
Quoted fares for pick up, or journey times, are best estimates. Avacab will not be liable, if a pickup, or journey time, exceeds the estimated price originally confirmed, or otherwise, exceeds the Customer/Passengers expectations for whatever reason.
Higher prices may apply during busy peak times, traffic hours, special events, festive seasons, bad weather, road closures and diversions. demand, and general availability of vehicles. Drivers may have to travel further, therefore, fares will be enhanced, increased, or fixed to reflect the situation at the time.
Customers who fail to cancel their taxi (once the vehicle has arrived), will be charged a minimum Call Out fee, which is reflected on the pick-up location/distance travelled. Customers will be allowed 3 minutes, after the driver arrives to the destination confirmed. Charges will apply, if the customer fails to show within this time.
Journeys will usually be via the shortest route unless otherwise directed. Shortest is not always the fastest.
All taxi journeys are undertaken under South Ribble Borough Council bylaws available on their website.
Any Congestion Charges will be applied when traveling to/from any areas that use this system.
All calls are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.
Avacab does not guarantee the vehicle type requested. Avacab will endeavour to send the correct vehicle type, however, if unable, will send any vehicle/s available that will accommodate the space/needs required, which may incur extra charges, but this will be prevented where possible.
